They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity—all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. (Acts 2:46-47 NLT)
A church must grow smaller as it grows bigger. At DFC we accomplish this very well with The Family!
Here, we express the importance of building close friendships with others, beyond our weekly services, in small groups for inspiration, accountability, and encouragement.
In The Family, meaningful relationships are formed and high level Christian discipleship happens. Throughout the year, we offer the following groups:
- Study Groups: Centered on friendship and study, divided into three categories: Sermon Based, Book, and Curriculum.
- Interest Groups: Centered on friendship and common interests, like our volleyball, softball and basketball teams, The Biggest Loser (weight loss group), running and hiking groups, etc.
- Serve Groups: Centered on friendship and service, to feed the hungry, rebuild houses, maintenance cars, etc.
For more information, contact Lola Widener by email, or meet her in person during any of our regular services.
