Our Beliefs

  1. We believe the Bible is inspired by God, that it’s never wrong, and that it’s the basis for our faith, belief, and manner of living. (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
  2. We believe in one true God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22, Genesis 1:1, 1 John 1:3-4).
  3. We believe Jesus is the Son of God who came to the earth as the Savior of the World. He died on the cross, shed his blood for our sins, rose from the dead, and is coming again. Salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus has done for us. (Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 7:26, I Corinthians 15:3, Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:39).
  4. We believe that because of our total inability to save ourselves, salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is received through sincere, Godly repentance and whole hearted acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal savior. Through being born again, we become new creatures in Jesus Christ. Old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. (John 3:3, 1 Cor. 5:17, Gal. 2:20, 1 Peter 2:24).
  5. We believe that water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus. It serves as a declaration that the old sinful life has passed away and that we have taken on the redeemed nature of God. (Colossians 2:12, 1 Corinthians 11:26, Matthew 28:19).
  6. We believe that we should regularly take communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
  7. We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience, not identical with conversion. When the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is received, unknown tongues will follow. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a power given to believers to equip us for a practical, efficient, spirit-filled, soul-winning ministry and service. (John 14:16, Acts 1:8, 2:4).
  8. We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are for the edification of the saints and for the building of the church of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit has the following gifts to give individual believers: the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, the gift of faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophesy, discerning of spirits, diverse kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues. The Holy Spirit gives to each of us as He wills. We should desire these gifts in the spirit of love. We believe that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (I Cor. 12:7-11,31, Gal 5:22-23, John 15:4-8).
  9. We believe that divine healing was provided for us by the stripes of Jesus. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matt. 8:16-17, James 5:14-16, Acts 3:16).
  10. We believe that Jesus will come again. The Lord will descend from heaven with a shout and with the voice of the archangel. The dead in Christ shall rise first; then, the redeemed which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. (1 Thess. 4:16-17, Titus 2:12-13, math. 24:36, 44, Acts 1:11)
  11. We believe every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by studying and obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and being conformed to the image of Christ. (John 15:5, Romans 12:2)
