About Us

A passionate group of worshipers and a hungry young visionary… that’s where we began! From the ground up, our story is one of renovation and restoration. A living message about how God can raise up a memorial of hope from yesterdays disappointments. On August 18th 2002, Destiny Revival Center, later renamed Destiny Family Center, was off and running with Chuck & Emily Balsamo as the founding pastors!

     For Pastor Chuck and Emily, the events leading to that day were nothing less than divine! After leaving a very successful business to launch Chuck Balsamo Ministries in 1999, Chuck and Emily, along with their two children, Coree and Heaven, hit the road full time to reach the lost and call the churches of America to action! While preaching nearly 300 meetings a year, CBM was becoming a powerful force of revival throughout the nation.

     During this time, God began to show Chuck and Emily an out of the ordinary vision for a culturally relevant church that would significantly influence the nations! Destiny Family Center was now a vision awaiting a location. Only a few months later, after being invited to revitalize Harvest Time Church… it became apparent to Chuck and many others that Stuarts Draft, Virginia was the place! So, during the next few months a plan of action was unanimously set in motion and a new church family was born!

     The favor and blessing that would follow are truly hard to believe! Over the past few years, Destiny Family Center has become a unified family of blessing to our community and region! Under Pastor Chuck and Emily’s leadership, we’ve grown to more than 300 people in regular Sunday morning attendance! More than that, we have a leadership of close to fifty top notch servants on the executive and director levels, and a total volunteer leadership well beyond 100 servants!

     We understand that in order for us to reach the nations, we need to impact our local community… and that’s exactly what we’re doing. Our church campus, located in the heart of Stuarts Draft, is becoming a refuge center to our community. With the recently added skateboard park, the coming ball field, volleyball courts, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, picnic area, and the long awaited family life building… we’ll have something for everyone… a place to come and relax, enhance relationships with friends and family, and develop a five star relationship with Jesus, all at the same time!

     Spiritually, DFC has to be in the forefront of what’s happening in the divine plan of God for our day! Our intercessory prayer team is relentless in their pursuit of passion, purity, protection, and power for the people of this fellowship! Destiny isn’t the kind of church that you’ll be able to hide out in for very long. While you’re here in our meetings, you’ll be challenged like never in your life! Every meeting brings about some of the most blessed praise and worship, drama, fun, technology, and inspirational preaching in America!

     At the beginning of 2006, we raised the bar again as we launched a Bible College… starting with 32 students and offering accreditation through the PHD level! Who can predict the difference this will make in our future? In addition to the Bible College, we’re progressively adding both fellowship and spiritual developments small groups all the time!

     Wow, what a church we’ve become together! The list of ministry opportunities available to our members and guests is breathtaking. Starting with the nursery and preschool classes, Kidz Krib, Pulse and Generation 220 Youth, Royal Ranger and Missionetts, and our Young Adults Club… then on to our Friendships Ministry, Athletic Ministry, Spiritual Development Ministry, and Outreach Ministry… and on further to our Elder Team, Deacon Team, and so much more. Destiny Family Center is a place to bring your family together, maximize your relationship with the Lord, and reach out in ways you would never attempt on your own! Under this ministry covering you are certain to get what you need in order to live and die in such a way that you’re life impacts the generations to come!
